The Washakie Museum presents Shakespeare in the Parks’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream July 22, 2010.   Montana Shakespeare In the Parks is a long-standing tradition for the Big Horn Basin, bringing lively theatrical productions of Shakespeare to Worland annually.  This summer’s performance, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is William Shakespeare’s well-known comedy about four Athenian teenagers’ adventures in love.  It is a fantastical fantasy ride that is enchanting in its imaginative use of language, place and characters.

The performance will take place in Sanders Park, located on the corner of Obie Sue and 12th St. in Worland.  This event is free to the public.  Be sure to bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and a picnic dinner.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is supported in part by a grant from Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts and through the donations of these generous sponsors:  Mike Healy, Hedge Music/Dan & Nancy Frederick, Jadeco Electric/Brad & Leslie Basse and Dick & Virginia Basse, Chuck & Sherrie Glade/Chuck Glade State Farm Insurance, David & Jeri Bostrom, and John & Eloise Shaw.
