The Ancient Basin The Last West
The Permanent Exhibits have been installed at the Washakie Museum & Cultural Center. The new Museum is NOW OPEN, so come check out our fascinating, interactive exhibits. The Ancient Basin includes Mammoth Hunters and Archaeology, Paleontology, Geology, Dinosaurs and Fossils. The Last West is the history of the Big Horn Basin from the 1800's thru 1920 including the Spring Creek Raid, Johnson County Wars, Cattle Barons, and much more.
